The construction of the dam took place in the years
1957–1961 and it was put into operation about three
years later. The strewn, rocky dam was the first dam of
such large proportions in Czechoslovakia. The heel has
a width of 105 m, the crown just 5.8 meters. The height
is 32 metres and length is 340.7 metres. The reservoir
with a length of 5,385 metres flooded an area of 93 ha.
The reservoir is a source of drinking water.
The beginnings of the mill complex date
back deep into the 17th century. The mill
often changed owners and underwent
a lot of construction work during which its
machinery was also continually modernized.
A part of the preserved mill is, until today,
also a saw, whose operation began in 1775.
It can be found on the river Oslava in the
Valley Nesměř.
Anfänge des Mühleareals reichen weit ins
17. Jahrhundert.
The stately home was built in the 16th century in the
Renaissance style. In the early 17th century, the property
comes into the possession of the family Collalto who
manage it until 1918, when the property was confiscated.
In the 18th century the stately home underwent Baroque
reconstruction, especially the interiors and the chapel.
Currently, the stately home is inaccessible.
The original castle was founded approximately
in 1240 by Přibyslav of Křižanov. In the 14th
century it was renovated and consisted of
a palace, defensive tower and fortified forecastle.
Later on, at the place, they built a Renaissance
stately home with a three-storey rectangular
building with a closed arcade courtyard. Since
then it has been rebuilt several times. Today
it houses a welfare institute. The park belonging
to the stately home is open to the public.
A fortress belonging to squires of Kralice
is mentioned in Moravec in 1347. In
1624 the fortress was rebuilt into a late
Renaissance three-winged two-storied
stately home with a chapel, arcade
loggias in the courtyard and a bossed
portal of the passage. In 1825 after a
devastating fire the stately home was
rebuilt as only a one-storey building.
On this occasion, a large park was built
around it. The object is preserved in this
form to this day. Since 1996 the stately
home has been administered by the
Moravian Museum in Brno and not open
to the public.
1347 ist in Moravec eine Wladikas von
Kralice gehörende Festung erinnert.
Im Jahre 1624 wurde die Festung in
die Form von Spätrenaissanceschloss,
ein zweistöckiges Dreiflügelgebäude,
mit einer Kapelle, Arkaden im Hof und
einem interessanten Einfahrtstorportal
umgebaut. Nach einem heftigen Brand
im Jahre 1825 wurde das Schloss nur
einstöckig herrichtet. Um es herum
wurde bei dieser Gelegenheit auch ein
ausgedehnter Park gegründet. In dieser
Form blieb das Objekt bis zu heute
erhalten.
