The first references to the church are from the late 13th century.
A richly decorated concession portal was preserved from this time.
The church was rebuilt in the Baroque style in the 18th century.
The Romanesque layout and some Romanesque and Gothic parts
were preserved. The church also got a new tower at the time.
Since 1781 there have been relics of St. Donát in a side chapel of
the Virgin Mary. Today they are placed in a glass coffin. In front of
the entrance to the chapel there is a remnant of a pillory – a stone
pedestal, called „the stone of shame“.
Die Kirche wurde zum ersten Mal Ende des 13. Jahrhunderts
erwähnt. Von dieser Zeit blieb ein reich dekoriertes romanisches
Portal erhalten. Im 18. Jh. wurde die Kirche barock hergerichtet,
die romanische Anordnung und einige romanische und gotische
Teile blieben erhalten. Die Kirche bekam zu dieser Zeit auch
einen neuen Turm. In der St.-Maria-Seitenkapelle sind von 1781
St.-Donatus-Reliquien, zurzeit in einem Glassarg aufbewahrt.
Vor dem Eingang in die Kapelle gibt es einen Prangersrest – ein
Steinsockel, so genannter „Stein der Schande“.
The original church stood on the site where the school is
now. In 1784 it was demolished and a new church was built.
The church was sanctified in 1795. There are 4 bells in the
tower, the oldest of them dating from the year 1516.
The first references to the church are from the year 1348. In 1678
it was completely renovated. In the mid-19th century the nave was
extended by a half to current 26 m including the presbytery. There
are 3 bells in the tower, the oldest of them dating from the year 1612.
Die erste Erwähnung über die Kirche stammt aus dem Jahr 1348.
1678 wurde sie komplett renoviert. In der ersten Hälfte des
19. Jahrhunderts wurde das Kirchenschiff um eine Hälfte auf heutige
26 m einschließlich Presbyterium gedehnt. Im Turm befinden sich
3 Glocken, die älteste davon ist aus dem Jahr 1612.
This originally a Gothic church from the 14th century was rebuilt
in the Baroque style in 1732. A chapel and a built in music choir
were added in 1878. Three historical bells from the 15th and 16th
century are the pride of the church. There is an old stone baptistery
located by the church.
The first r ferences relate to the year 1317. In the church
there is a cultural landmark – Madonna of Velké Meziříčí from
the first third of the 14th century. The largest illuminated
clock in the Czech Republic is located on the observation
tower of the church.
Die ersten Erwähnungen b ziehen sich zum Jahr 1317. In der
Kirche befindet sich eins der ältesten Denkmäler – gotische
Statue von Madonna von Velké Meziříčí aus dem ersten Drittel
des 14. Jahrhunderts. An dem Kirchenturm befinden sich die
größten durchleuchteten Turmuhren in Tschechien. Der Turm
wird auch als Aussichtsturm genutzt.
Ursprünglich eine gotische Kirche aus dem 14. Jh. wurde in
1732 barock umgebaut. In 1878 wurde eine Kapelle zugebaut
und ein Musikchor eingebaut. Das Kirchenprahlen sind drei
historische Glocken aus dem 15. und 16. Jh. An der Kirche befindet
sich ein altes steinernes Taufbecken.
Die ursprüngliche Kirche stand an der Stelle der heutigen
Schule. Im Jahre 1784 wurde sie zerrissen und eine neue
erbaut. Die Kirche wurde 1795 eingeweiht.
Im Turm befinden sich insgesamt
4 Glocken. Die älteste davon ist aus dem
Jahre 1516.
The church was founded in the early 13th century at a place
called Beautiful Mountain. It originally served as a chapel or a
church for the neighbouring, now defunct castle. Murals are still
preserved in the interior.
Die Kirche wurde im ersten Drittel des 13. Jahrhunderts an der
Stelle gegründet, die man Schöner Berg nannte. Ursprünglich
diente sie als Kapelle oder Kirche für eine nebenliegende,
heute schon untergegangene Burg. In dem Interieur blieben
Wandgemälde erhalten.
