Wine tavern
This tavern, dating from 1484, is striking for its
visual quaintness. The front room is marked by
stone vaulting and is still covered in its original
plaster, which still bears the original inscriptions
and drawings depicting sundry phenomena
from life at that time and which seem to have
been rendered by its patrons themselves. The
architectural fragments and drawings may be
considered remnants of the oldest representation
of the Meziříčí castle and the town fortifications.
Today this is the location of a pub and café.
Weinschenke

Today the house features a bust of the
writer to remind us of that portion of her
life spent in VelkéMeziříčí.
