The original residence of the town’s reeve, this buildingwas
reconstructed in the Renaissance style when it became the
Town Hall in 1528–29, and it has served this function ever
since. On the ground floor, the vaulted ceiling of the mázhaus, or front
hall, is ornamented in fresco. Also of interest is the Gothic wooden
ceiling taken from the pub U Bílého anděla around 1440 and installed
here in the council room.
In May 1945 the Town Hall became the scene of the anti-fascist
uprising, the victims of which are remembered on a memorial plaque
in the vestibule. The building’s most recent renovation occurred in
1997–1999.
Das ehemalige Vogthaus wurde in den Jahren 1528–29 zum
Renaissancerathaus umgebaut und seitdem ist es der Sitz der
Stadtverwaltung. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich das gewölbte
Maßhaus mit den Freskomalereien in den Gewölbebogen.
Interessant ist auch die gotische Holzdecke
(wahrscheinlich aus dem Jahre 1440) von dem
abgerissenen Gasthaus „Zum Weißen Engel“
(Ubílého anděla), die sich heute imSitzungssaal
befindet.

des antifaschistischen Aufstandes, dessen
Opfer die Gedenktafel im Vestibül gewidmet
ist. Der letzte Umbau fand in den Jahren 1997
statt.
